Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Burgess; her son, Craig Burgess; and her parents Felix and Ruth Berard. She is survived by her children Ralph Burgess Jr. and Valerie Smith of Lincoln, CA. Along with her grandchildren Tami, Katie, and Jared of Lincoln, CA; Ralph III and Randy of the Philippines; Crystal of North Carolina; many great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Her memory is further carried by her dear friend Robin McCarty of Elk Grove.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and her friends. Some of her favorite hobbies were crafting, crocheting, watching TV and gardening. Some of her major achievements include working for many years with children as a teacher's aide and helping with church activities.
Funeral services for Dorothy will take place on July 20, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vine Life Ministries Food Closet.
