

Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Dennis, and six siblings,. She is survived by her son, Patrick and his wife, Linda of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and her daughter, Shannon McClurg and her husband, Robert of Penryn, California. Also surviving is her sister, Ardis Keating of Sacramento, California , two nieces and her cat, Casey. Living in the Loomis area since the mid 1950's Eileen was a horse woman, gardener, and crafter. Her homemade doughnuts were prized by many, a receipe that was handed down from mother to daughter. she loved to make her own clothes and handed down that passion to her daughter. Eileen loved to travel whenever she got the chance. From early on, the family camped, or traveled in one of their many RV's starting with a converted bus to motorhome in the late 50's. She drove most of them too, A lifelong trip to Ireland and 3 trips to Alaska had lasting memories and hours of conversation to their credit. Her love of shopping was only surpassed by her love of her cats. They were her lifelong companions and devoted to one another. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at The Newcastle District Cemetery Pavilion, 850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, California. An informal gathering was her wish, and anyone wishing to is welcome to wear Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Placer County SPCA Cat program.
