

George "Skip" Padilla is survived by son's Brian (wife Chris), Barry (wife Tracie), Grandchildren Josh, Justin (wife Carrie), Breana and Julia and one Great- Granddaughter Taylor. He is also survived by his brother Ray and sisters Celia and Lisa. He was born on September 17, 1923 and entered into God's loving arms on July 5, 2010. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Jo, his parents Pete and Ramona and sister Millie. He will be sadly missed by all. He was a devout Catholic and volunteered often for the Holy Family Church. He was a long time residence of Citrus Heights before moving to Folsom. He was a World War 2 veteran and retired in the year 1966 from the Air Force. He also had retired from the United States Post Office and Placer Bank. He loved all sports. His favorite baseball team was the Oakland A's and would often take his wife, son's and later on, his grandson's to the games.
Arrangements have been made by Lambert Funeral Home. There is a viewing on Tuesday July 13, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a rosary from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lambert Funeral Home 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA. 95678. A Mass Funeral will be held the following day on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at The Holy Family Catholic Church 7817 Old Auburn Rd. Citrus Heights, CA. 95610. We will have the burial immediately following at the Sylvan Cemetery 7401 Auburn Blvd. Citrus Heights, CA. 95610. There will be a reception at the Holy Family Catholic Church immediately following the burial.
