

Kenneth Michael "Mick" Kelley, born in Minneapolis, Minneapolis, on November 4, 1925 passed away peacefully in Rocklin,California at the age of 65 on March 4, 2011. He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Mary. he also leaves behind three adoring children, Katie, Peggy, and Michael, and six loving grandchildren, Chris, Tyler, Colton, Cameron, Benjamin and Samuel.
Mick graduated from West High School in 1943. After High School, he entered the Army Air Corps, and was stationed in Guam. After World War II, he attended the University of Minnesota, studying Electrical Engineering, while being affiliated with the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. After graduating, he entered the FBI, serving on the East Coast. in 1960, he obtained a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota. He was a hospital consultant with James A Hamilton for several years. In 1981, he took the position of CEO of Al-Huwaylat Hospital in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. In 1983, he accepted the position of CEO of As Salam International Hospital in Cairo, Egypt. in 1985, he became the CEO of Roseville Community Hospital and remained in that position until retiring in 1992. He remained a community leader after retirement, joining the Community Board for U.C. Davis Medical Center and remaining in that capacity through 2003. He has been a member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California where he served as president for one year, as well as being a member of the Roseville Rotary.
Heartfelt thanks to the kind care he received at Agape Home and Care in Rocklin and to Ms. Judy, Mick's friend and caregiver for the past 2 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sutter VNA and Hospice or other charity of choice. Services will be held on Friday March 18th, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Roseville, Sunrise Ave, Roseville, California.
