

Manuel was born in 1934 in San Francisco, California. His parents were Manuel L. Ramos and Helen (Marshall) Ramos. He was an a loving, husband, father, papa and great grand-papa, brother, and uncle. His siblings were Helen, Ann, Joe, John, Mary and Charles. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, his sister Ann De Alba, brother John, and sister Mary and brother-in-law Tony Marchi.
He had three children, Mary Ann and her husband, Wolfgang Perner, Margaret Rose and her husband, Mark Sauer. His Son, Lawrence Anthony Ramos, passed away on June 16, 2019. He had 7 Grandchildren; Melissa, Monica, Mallory, Jessica, Ben, (Larry Jr., who passed away May 13, 2016,) and young Manny. He also had 6 Great Grand-grandchildren; Alissa, Dash, Blake, Julian, Jordan, Anabelle and one on the way!
He worked for Pacific Bell for 42 years from 1954 - 1996. He was the President of the Telephone Company Pioneers from 1981 to 1983. He as on the Board of Directors for Ebtel Credit Union.
His sister-in-law, Jo Corona, who also worked for Pacific Bell, introduced her baby sister, Mary Ellen, to him. They were engaged a year later. They married in 1956 when he was 23 years old. He went from being a bachelor to married with 2 children, within one year. They were married for 63 years. They traveled to many places in the United States while he was involved with Telephone Company Pioneers and Ebtel Credit Union.
Dad and mom raised two families helping their son, Lawrence raise their grandsons, Larry and Manny. They finally became empty nesters five months ago when they moved to Brookdale Senior Living in Roseville. They were the cutest couple there and were loved by their second senior family. They were thriving going on outings together, playing bingo and enjoying life.
