Norma Jeanie Jean Walker Edwards

July 7, 1935 - August 4, 2011

Norma Jean Walker Edwards of Roseville, CA went home to the Lord on August 4, 2011. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Katherine Walker and her sister Sue Walker Gibbs.

Norma is survived by her brother David Walker, her sister Caroline Beard and her children Marlene McCraw (Sonny), Terry Edwards, Cynthia Turner (Sean) and Tammy Crosson (Todd). She leaves thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a committed Christian, loved reading her Bible and sharing her faith with others. She enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, and other sporting events. She avidly tended and watched over her beautiful rose garden and many flowers. Although confined to a wheelchair for many years, the Lord blessed her with His strength to lead an active independent life, until he called her home.

She was a precious daughter, cherished sister, loved mother, adored grandmother/great-grandmother and wonderful friend. She has left her impression on our hearts and we will never forget her love and strength. We will miss her, but we thank God for His promise that we will see her again!

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 12 at Roseville Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 914 Cirby Way, Roseville, CA. For further information contact Lambert Funeral Home at 916-783-0474.
