Patricia Tapia

February 23, 1947 – October 18, 2015

Patricia Ann Tapia, Pat, Patsy, as she was so fondly remembered, passed to the afterlife on October 18, 2015. She was 68 years of age. Patsy, as her family lovingly called her, died from complications related to her Multiple Myeloma illness in Sacramento, CA. She was surrounded by loving family at the time.

Pat was born on February 23, 1947, at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento, CA., to her parents Jose Ramirez and Eva Baquera Tapia of Roseville, CA. She is survived by her sister Mary Tapia Cortez from Clarkston, MI, and her three brothers, Joe, Max, and Richard Tapia all of Roseville, CA. She is also survived by 10 nephews and nieces who she considered her own and 17 great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Elizabeth Tapia Villa.

Pat graduated from beauty college and made a wonderful career for herself in cosmetology. She worked at a number of shops and finally created Pat’s Beauty Shop in the Sunrise Boulevard area of Citrus Heights, CA. Pat finished her career at her shop in the Crosswood Oaks retirement community. Pat had a number of loyal customers who she worked with for a long, long time. They will sorely miss her.

Pat prayed for herself and her family. She made it a point to make a trip to St. Jude shrine at Saint Dominic’s church in San Francisco last summer. Pat loved life and enjoyed traveling to Mexico to hear the Mariachi’s playing and enjoy a good Margarita. She also enjoyed a good Happy Hour and time with her family. We all loved her deeply.

Her viewing will take place from 4pm-7pm at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church located at 601 Vine Ave., Roseville, CA. on Thursday, November 5, 2015, with a rosary being prayed at 6pm. Her final mass will take place on Friday, November 6, 2015, at 11am at St. Rose, with her final resting place to be at Roseville Cemetery in collaboration with Lambert Funeral Home. “If, then, you are looking for the way by which you should go, take Christ, because He Himself is the way.”
