Born On August 24, 1938 - Departed on December 6, 2010 at the age of 72.
Ralph was the epitome of a great man. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He had a heart that was big enough to love everyone He met unconditionally. He was known as Dad, Butch, Spike, and friend. However you knew Him, you knew that you had someone who would always be there for you no matter what. Even though He is not in this world He is still here for us.
He was a family man, and not just that he had a family, but family came first. Dad believed that blood did not make a family, but love makes a family. Once you became part of the family it was a life sentence, and no matter what you did or how far away you moved, you were still family.
Butch was like a heavenly body. People flocked to Him and orbited around Him. He had charm and an unending charisma that pulled you in. Dad, Husband, Ralph, Butch, Spike, Brother, Grandfather, Friend, He was the type of person that everyone wanted to know, to be with, to imitate.
Dad has left this world, but His memory lives on, in the not so small family that He created. Dad was our glue, and I believe even though He is gone His glue will keep us together and make us strong. Thank you Dad, for everything you are and for being the amazing man that you were and gracing us with your life. Until we meet again, WE LOVE YOU!
Ralph was my father, my hero, and my friend. I will miss Him, and I will cherish every second that I had with Him. I love you DAD and you will never be forgotten. You were, and always will be, my HERO.

Here is a poem that my brother found that is perfect.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered come with me.
With tearful eyes I watched and saw you pass away.
Although I love you dearly, I could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke my heart to prove he only takes the best.
