

Richard Eichi Nakayama, age 85, of Rocklin,California, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2010 in Roseville. Born in Isleton, California, Mr Nakayama spent his childhood years in California Delta region and the Tule Lake segregation center during World War II and he was a graduate of Tri-State High School at Tule Lake. Richard was a proud veteran of the Korean War, having served honorably during the Korean Conflict. A long time resident of Stockton, Richard was a dedicated federal employee of 30 years with the United States Postal Service., having served the public in both Sacramento and Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hatsutaro and Mumeno Nakayama; brothers, Bill, Ted, and Goro; sisters, Janet Takahashi and Tsuyuko Nakayama; and his wife of 55 years, Betty Akiko Fukuda Nakayama, for whom his love and devotion was unending. He is survived by his sister Susie Nagata of Acampo; His brothers, Bob of Rio Linda and Eddie of North Highlands; His daughter, Brenda Tuttle of Roseville, His son, Glen Nakayama of Houston, Texas; and his Granddaughter, Clarisse Marie Akiko Nakayama of Houston. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday December 18th, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento, 2401 Riverside Boulevard, Sacramento,California 95818
