“We can either say, we are so mad and so sad, or we can say, we had him for many years and there’s a feast we can turn to, a feast of the memories.” A beautiful wise quote from a mother who lost her son to the collapse of the World Trade Center south tower:
My memories of Uncle Ron Endres at family events included him observing and watching over the family from a comfy chair and he had a talent of being in the moment, which is not easy these days. He liked to relax and laugh with loved ones. Any time he seemed displeased about conversation or actions, he had a way of expressing it to where it was known but it was still felt that he loved you anyways and that kept the bridges connected. I remember him as pleasant, calm, thoughtful, easygoing, and fun.  And you can’t help but smile at him being a stern but lovable giant in pictures. One trait that I share with him more and more as I age, is that although I’m private and not seen as often as others, the love for family and friends is always there, especially when it really counts. He loved all of us, especially Aunt Vicki, very much. We will always miss him. And what a feast of memories we are blessed to have of Uncle Ron Endres.

Ron you were such a positive light and influence in my life. You were my trainer when I came to IAD and it was such a blessing as you were on of the only people I know that just did not let things bother you or get you down! Your positivity, smile, and laugh each and every day I was blessed to be on your team really left a valuable impression on me and I am forever grateful to have had you in my life. You put your heart into everything! From your daily work to being Santa at our holiday festivities or going all in at Halloween! I just know that anybody lucky enough to know you and the grace you reflected every day is blessed and I will miss you dearly.

Hard to believe that "Dial-a-Hit" has left this crazy world.  Played a LOT of years of softball with Ronnie as well as bowling in many a league/tournaments.  What a GREAT guy.  We would be joking around and get him laughing and he just couldn't stop!  It was the greatest laugh that we couldn't help but join in.... We are all going to miss him and, believe me, the World is NOT better for his leaving us.  Well, get the dugouts cleaned out up there in Heaven, buddy.  We will see you soon enough in our Field of Dreams in the sky.  Love you and Vicky, Doug, Candi and the whole gang....

So sorry to hear of Ronald’s passing! It sounds like he had wonderful life. I don’t think I saw him after they left ND. Still remember the little guy running around our farm on a Sunday as all of us Hardings gathered together. We basically played a lot of ball on those special Sunday afternoons. Sending sympathy and prayers! I also lit a candle and just Monday a Mass was said for him at our church. May God Bless you all. Rest in Peace Ronald.

I had the pleasure of working with Ron at the Integrity & Accounting Division in the Division Support Section. He was always so positive and encouraging. He never complained. He was always willing to do his job with a smile and he was always there to offer a hand to his teammates. He served our customers so professionally and with such kindness and patience. He had a child-like spirit that made him so fun to be around. He was so optimistic and bright-eyed. He seemed ageless, which makes this news even more shocking. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He spoke so positively and lovingly of his wife. You could tell they were truly best friends.
