Passed away in the hospital after a short illness. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Don, her sister, Sandy and sister-in-law, Linda. Also she leaves behind many friends, family and neighbors who mourn her passing. She has been reunited in heaven with both of her beloved parents, her sisters, Carol, Peggy and Wanda, and her brother Martin Dale.
Sharon was very family-oriented. She was a devoted daughter who retired early from D.M.V. to care for her elderly mom. They were both game enthusiasts and spent countless hours playing cards and Rummikub. She also enjoyed the Mario Bros. video game- an interest she shared with her young cousin Charley. Throughout her life, she was an avid animal lover who owned many cats, dogs, parakeets, chickens and ducks. Her affection for Disney films, Garfield, the Bowery Boys, leprechauns and stick figure art embodied the Pollyannaish spirit that shaped her personality and humor. It endeared her to all who met her.
As her cousin Debi wrote, she was the best of us.
