

Sherman L. Watson, Jr. age 72. He was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1949, he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on October 29, 2021. Those that knew and loved him called him Sherm. Most will remember his irreproachable integrity, courage, and dry sense of humor, as well as his love of life and laughter.
Sherm was a true history buff and could tell stories for hours, along with being an avid reader on such matters as the military, navy ships and aircraft. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Sherm had a passion for fast cars, traveling and the ocean.
Sherm's law enforcement career spanned thirty plus years working for the Department of Corrections, Marshall's Office and Sacramento Sheriff's Department.
Sherm is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Sherman, Sr.Sherm is survived by his wife, Marci; and his two sons: Joel (Yumiko) Watson and Matthew (Jennifer) Watson, his sister Ruth Hunter, sister-in-law Lynn (Mike) Boyd, and brother-in law Marc (Rebecca) Madeiros, and sisters-in-law Sandy Cook and Glenna Madeiros. Sherm had a sparkle in his eyes and love in his heart when it came to his five grandchildren: Maya, Kai, Liam, Aki, and Connor. Sherm also treasured his two GOD Daughters, Cari Alice and Clara Walsh, along with countless cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews alike. In addition to his family, Sherm has left a huge hole in the hearts of his beloved baby dogs, Ruby and Goldie. He also leaves behind a huge law enforcement family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Service and Celebration of Life on December 9, 2021, at Saint Peter and Paul in Rocklin at 10:00 AM. There will be a private burial at Roseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you love and hug your family members.
