Barbara was one of those people you meet who makes you feel you've known them for a long time.  She always made me feel like she truly loved and cared for all of us!  She will be missed but lovingly thought of!  She was a beautiful spirit!

Ms. Albani has always been a member of our family. I have always enjoyed the friendship Mrs. Albani between my mom as we all called her Miss Albani. Her children in return called my mom Miss Gray. Both married women, but somehow this special title stuck. Perhaps because so many men worked back then.  They, like many single mothers of today, ruled the roost, governing what we could do and what we couldn't. And they were good at it! These two women as different as they were enjoyed a deep and long lasting friendship. 

    Miss Albany loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed serving her family delicious meals and goodies. She talked about her favorite pumpkin rolls and who she was making them for. I know love went into those pumpkin rolls. My mother on the other hand, thought that's what restaurants are for.  So different...One woman cleaning her stove, and the other dusting it. 

    Miss Albani also loved to keep a clean home. She took pride in decorating and making everything look beautiful and above all clean! It always felt good going over her house. I'll always remember sitting in her immaculate kitchen having coffee, eating her delicious baked goods and enjoying humorous conversations. Well, don't get me wrong, my mother enjoys a clean house too. However, being different from her friend, she thinks that's what children and grandchildren are for and  Grandchild Brielle would agree! (Right Brielle?)

    Miss Albani, although she never learned how to drive, tried very hard to be independent and never wanted to be a burden to her children. She managed so many things. If she could do it on her own, then it was done. When my mom and I were talking about this admiring trait in her girlfriend she said, Oh yea, just like me. Of course, I quickly looked at her in disbelief and we both burst out laughing. She knew she wasn't like her girlfriend. Remember, she thought that's what children and grandchildren are for.  And we do help out because we love her. 

    These two women, best friends for over 50 years, different in many ways. What made them such good friends? I thought about this. They may not have had the same interests, but they had the same values, family. They brought up their children together, bouncing up and down the road with 8 children in my mom's station wagon on the way to my grandmother's house. Poor Tony surrounded by 7 girls and two dominate mothers. But he survived and I don't  think we would of had it any other way. We were one big family.

    Even when we all grew up and my mom moved away, she always called her and would visit for coffee. Again Miss Albani, unlike my mom was mostly tea drinker, but she always made sure her friend had coffee and something sweet to eat. She baked and my mom ate. So different, but such good friends, still talking about family, supporting each other through good times and bad,  even through the deaths of their husbands.  Their strong family values and shared life experiences are what kept these two great women together for so many years. What a strong friendship.

On the last day of Miss Albani's life, my mother went to visit her in the hospital. They talked as usual and then Miss Albani asked for some ice cream. She insisted the nurse bring her friend some too. So there they were, like so many years ago, sharing ice cream, only something was different. Who could have expected this to be their last sharing moment. When my mother was ready to leave, Miss Albani struggling to lift her head, held out one arm and motion for my mom to come closer. She puckered her lips, kissed my mom and said, I love you. Such a short goodbye. Two best friends, although their interests were different, they had a bond that lasted a lifetime and said their final goodbyes on February 7th, 2016.

We loved working with Barb at Lupo Chiropractic.  She made us laugh and she also gave great, heartfelt advice.  I loved my Aunt Mary Janes best friend.

I am so sad to hear about your mom passing. I have some fun memories of her. One in particular is our time in Las Vegas when we were seated next to Bill Medley ( Righteous Brothers)! She immediately recognized him ! I can still see her face...star struck!  So funny and such a passionate woman. Thank you for sharing her and being part of our family...forever. Love, Donna

So so sad when my mom told me that Mrs Albani died.  Lots of tears and memories. One of many is when the five of us girls along with Margie,Tony and Robin would pile into the station wagon with my mom and Mrs Albani to visit my grandmother in Grosse Point Woods. We made alot of trips piled in that car. All us girls and Tony!  I can't type much more my tears are in the way.    
   
John 10:28 "And I shall give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one shall snatch them out of my hand."                           

I shall see you again Mrs Albani and our house will be spotless.

I always enjoyed sharing a cup of tea with your mom whether I was 8 or 48. I'll miss those talks in her kitchen with my mom talking about nothing. She always made me laugh without trying. I have many fond childhood memories because of her.   Annette

To my dearest friend Barbara & family, I could not have asked for a better friend all the way to the end when you requested two ice creams "yes one for my friend" as you made sure when we said good bye we kissed each other. You must of knew it was good bye.  You were a blessing to me and my girls and we thought of you as family. I will miss you dearly my long time friend may you rest in peace. God Bless. Margie, Tony and Robin, so sorry to hear about your mother.  I do have great memories of her and your dad during our summer vacations in Masontown.  Always looked forward to Pirate games, amusement parks or just playing card games like Michigan Rummy.  Great memories that will never go away!

Sorry to hear of your mother's passing.I look forward to doing her hair every wed.She was a beautiful lady that I will miss.May God comfort you at this difficult time.She just kept telling  me about how she got to see everyone at Christmas . That made your mom really happy to see all her grandbabies. You all will remember that happy time and all the other memories you have of her.Our prayers are with you  Steven Cindy Sweesy
