I raise a glass to George, a wise man, good conversationalist, a guy who looked you in the eye when he spoke to you.  There was honesty in his voice and passion in his convictions.  Traits that are honorable, just like the man we're memorializing this day. 

I want to thank my cousin George for his support in challenging times in my life, especially taking Troy in to live with him for a while.  It meant so much to me.   George was such a good man willing to help anyone who needed help.  Rest in peace with God.   See you again some day.  Gordon / Coop

Danny, Laura, Bruce & Cheryl, Oh how I loved your Dad, my dear Cousin. I have many fond memories of our younger years together as our families shared dinners, picnics birthdays and holidays and visits to the lake. Your Dad is the skinny kid sitting on the bench in the picture below. As years went by we married and had 3 girls and George married and had the four of you. You always called us Aunt Trudy and Uncle Merl and your Dad was Uncle George to our girls, I will truly miss George, but my heart is filled with peace, knowing that he is Home with his Lord and now free of pain 🙏🏼

George was my Dad’s cousin, but we always affectionately called him Uncle George.  He so graciously let my parents, with 3 young children, live with his family when we emigrated from England to America.  He was also my Godfather.  I loved him so much and I am heartbroken by his passing.  He was the kindest, gentlest man to be around.  Ride on,        Uncle George, until we meet again.  Love and hugs to my Allan family. 

George was like a second dad to me.  He was the kindest sweetest man. I will carry him in my heart forever. Rest In Peace dad, til we meet again. 

I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I knew George since I was about 14 years old and babysat for the 3 oldest of you kids when I was a teenager. I will keep you all in my prayers for comfort and strength. Remember no one can take the memories away! Rest in peace George! Until we meet again.

I met George in 2005 at Dragonmead, I figured he was a VIP after he reached over the bar and pulled up a jar of peanuts he kept there. Of course he shared them, even though we had just met. Since then we have shared many pints, good times, met great people, solved the world's problems, shared our good and bad times...
He was proud of his children and  cherished his grandchildren. 
A good man, and I was right the first time I met him, George was a Very Important Person and I will miss him!

Fond memories of you will live in our hearts 

So sad to see the news of George's passing this morning.
My wife and I have known this wonderful man for over 35 years, working with him in the good old Perry Drug days.
Kind, quiet, hard working, peaceful. Just a great man. Bumped into him many times over the years living in the same city.
George brings back many great memories of my past. 
Much peace and love to his entire family as they face this emotional time.

I have always told George he was my mentor for living life. 
He sailed, jet skied, biked. He was always setting goals for his next venture.
