Helen will be remembered for her love of life and the simple pleasures that brought her so much joy. She found comfort in the quiet act of reading. She also loved the drama and excitement of reality television.
She especially enjoyed settling in by a warm, crackling fire, a perfect moment of contentment for her. The beauty of the natural world held a special place in Helen's heart. She was delighted by the tiny magic of ladybugs and had a special fondness for the autumn season. She loved nothing more than taking trips "up north" to witness the brilliant spectacle of the changing fall colors.
An avid sports fan, Helen followed both football and golf with passion and enthusiasm. Her birthdays were a personal celebration she looked forward to all year, embracing the occasion with joy.
Beloved wife of Anthony. Loving mother of John (Sheri) Smith, Maryanne (Brian) Hilliware, Michael Smith and Patrick Smith. Proud grandmother of Katelyn, Allan (Bridget), Alexus, Ryan, Shane, Connor and Madison. She will also be missed by her dog, Maggie.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10AM at Holy Innocents St. Barnabas Church, 26100 Ridgemont St, Roseville, MI 48066. Please share a memory with the family on Helen’s online guestbook.
