Stan Stankiewicz, age 71, of Eastpointe, Michigan, died April 28, 2025. Born September 26, 1953, in Hamtramck, Michigan, to Raymond and Mary (Gosienski) Stankiewicz, Stan was a mechanical genius with a playfully mischievous spirit who delighted in terrorizing those he loved most.
He leaves behind his cherished and VERY tolerant wife of 49 years, Sandy; his wildly irreverent daughters Misty and Michelle (Dan) whom he taught to think critically and change their car tires (and expected them to be adept at both); his frequently embarrassed grandchildren Calla, Aidan, and Kelsey; his loving sister Donna (Dave) who can now answer her calls in speakerphone mode without fear of Stan spewing obscenities in public; his former son-in-law Paul; many nieces and nephews; his drum kit; and the memories of many years with his dart league and his best buddies Brian and Dennis, with whom he played Marshmallow Baseball, and spent many hours in cop cars.
Stan is already very, VERY missed.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Stan's life will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Memorial service at 6:30 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066.
