Ahmet Abaci

Born in Karaman, Turkey, on February 23, 1968, Ahmet was a proud graduate of Robert College. He attended Boğaziçi University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. He then moved to the United States for his MBA, which he earned at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.

It was there that he met the love of his life, LuAnn. After completing his education, Ahmet went on to have a successful career as a marketing executive and consultant in a variety of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, and sporting goods.

Beyond his professional life, Ahmet had many passions. He found joy in fixing things, whether it was a home repair or a project in the yard. He loved traveling, hiking, and grilling, and he kept active with weight lifting. Ahmet loved riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and was a proud member of the Iron Butt Association. He was also a dedicated fan of Fenerbahçe S.K. and the Green Bay Packers.

Above all, Ahmet’s greatest joy was his family. He was a kind and generous man who was completely devoted to his wife of 25 years. As an attentive, active, and loving father, he created a home filled with warmth and support for his sons.

Ahmet was preceded in death by his parents, Emin and Mebrure Abacı. He is survived by his wife, LuAnn Leavitt; his sons, Devrim and Remzi Abacı; his sisters, Nurten Abacı Utku and Gülsen Abacı; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, with visitation one hour prior. The interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. A reception will be held at the funeral home after the interment.

Namaz, a traditional prayer, will also be offered at the Ahiska Turkish Community Center, 70 Technology Dr, Alpharetta, GA 30005 at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5.
