In loving and joyful memory of Allen Hsu, 48 years old. Allen passed away on March 7, 2016 in Johns Creek, Georgia of stroke. Allen was born on June 23, 1967 in Taipei, Taiwan to Tzu-Chi Hsu and Amy Wei-Mei Hsu. He has a younger sister, Angela Hsu. Allen immigrated to the United States at age 6 and lived in Palo Alto, California. Allen's family purchased a motel business in Whittier, California in 1978; and this is where Allen started learning to fix all things mechanical. The Hsu family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1981 where Allen's parents had purchased another motel business. Allen attended Bearden High School in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated in 1985. While at Bearden High School, Allen befriended the brightest kids in high school, and they called themselves the "Z-Team," they were proud nerds before nerds were considered cool. Allen then attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Allen was a gifted IT specialist who managed dozens of people who performed complicated network trouble shooting. Allen's hobbies included Airsoft gaming, World of Warcraft, building models, military history and international travel. Allen was known for his incredible generosity and virtuoso ability to fix all things mechanical. He was loved by all. Allen lived joyfully and passionately. His greatest pride and joy is his son, Justin Hsu. Allen is survived by his beloved son, his sister Angela and her husband Jack Chen, his niece, Julia Chen, his nephew Alex Chen, his girlfriend Lea Valencia Noring and his mother, Amy Hsu. A celebration of life has been planned at Roswell Funeral Home on March 12, 2016; viewing at 11:00 am, celebration of life at 12:00 noon and reception to follow.
