Allon was born in Dalton, GA, Allon moved to Atlanta and attended West Georgia and Georgia State University where he received a degree in business. Allon had a 30-year career with Brooks Brothers and had many loyal clients, some of whom became close friends. He was also an accomplished builder and had a company that designed and built custom decks and porches. He loved to build things and his family have been the recipients of many of his pieces.
Allon was a huge football fan. He particularly loved college football, the Florida Gators, and participating in an annual football pool with his friends. He subscribed to the philosophy that there was football season and getting ready for football season! Allon enjoyed being on the water and spent a lot of time boating on Lake Lanier, where he also loved to fish. At one time, he was an avid bowler and bowled a perfect 300 in a game.
His mother and father, Willie Belle and Albert Griffin of Dalton GA, preceded him in death.
Allon is survived by his wife Sheri, daughter and son-in-law Hillary and Joshua Bissinger, sister Sue Griffin, nephew Gerry Kirk, niece Krystal Kirk, and several aunts and uncles. He also leaves behind his beloved Golden Retriever, June.
