

Mr. Aubrey R. Morris, 88, a native of Roswell, GA, entered into rest on April 13, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was a respected and noted journalist who graduated the University of Georgia, College of Journalism in 1945. He began an outstanding career by serving the Atlanta Journal Constitution from 1945 through 1957, then serving WSB Radio from 1957 through 1988 when he retired. He is remembered from several years of dedicated service and for interviewing several Presidents of the United States. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Tera Morris, whom he married in 1949; daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Fricton, of Alpharetta, Rhoda (Rev. Paul) Owens, of Minnesott Beach, NC and Susan (Kent) Moe, of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Daniel (Vanessa) Owens, of Cumming, Anne (Justin) Reynolds, of Woodstock, Kurt (Amber) Fricton, of Dawsonville, Nathan Moe, Benjamin Moe and Sarah Moe, all of Snellville; brother, Barnard (Willora) Morris, of Alpharetta; sisters, Grace Collett, of Dawsonville and Jean (Travis) Marks, of Alpharetta; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076, 770 993-4811. The family will receive friends also from 11 A.M. - 12 Noon and the funeral service will be at 12 Noon, Friday, April 16, 2010 BOTH at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, 13560 Cogburn Rd., Alpharetta, GA, 30004. Following the funeral service, burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Morris's honor to St. Aidan's Episcopal Church or the Compassionate Hospice of North Georgia.
