Bernard DiMarco, aged 94, passed away on June 8, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1931, to Giovanni & Nicola Figurelli in Prata D’Ansidonia, Italy. After his father passed away when Bernard was 5, his mother remarried years later and he changed his last name to his stepfather’s, Armando DiMarco, and emigrated to the US in 1947. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country with honor.
Bernard was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was known for his kind, gentle manner, and his dedication to his grandchildren and the game of golf.
Throughout his life, Bernie achieved many accomplishments in Electrical Engineering, garnering 77 US Patents in Circuit Breaker Design, 1997 Siemens Inventor of the Year, and touched the lives of countless individuals through his service on multiple international standards committees for electrical product safety.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Erika; his children John, Tom, Mike and Stephanie; his 10 grandchildren and many cousins and friends in Michigan, Georgia and Florida.
A Private Memorial Service will be held on June 18th to celebrate Bernie's life and honor His contributions to our world.
