“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
Bernadine Owens Roundfield was born on January 21, 1952, in Detroit Michigan to Clarence Turner Owens, and Cecelia Dorsey Owens.
Bernadine, who everyone called Bernie attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It was there that she met the love of her life Danny Thomas Roundfield. This union was ordained by God, and they were blessed with two wonderful sons. Corey James Roundfield, and Christopher Thomas Roundfield. Although they were blessed to live in various states in the US, as well as in Italy, Roswell Georgia is where they resided for over forty years. Bernie later relocated to Loganville, Georgia.
Bernie loved the Lord with her whole heart, mind, body, and soul. It was her desire to please Him. She walked by faith, and not by sight, and trusted His will for her life. Bernie did not complain, and accepted what ever God’s plan was for her life. She loved sharing the word of God. Bernie’s mission was to encourage others to get to know God as their Lord, and personal savior. She did this by the life she lived, and by sharing the inspirational words that God gave her. Bernie was inspired by God to write a book proclaiming His love, His faithfulness, and His promises.
On Friday May 5,2023 God called Bernie from labor to reward. Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Cecelia Owens; Her soulmate, Danny Roundfield; Brothers: Eddie, Joseph, Marion, and Clarence. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved sons, Corey, and Christopher; her babies, Caden and Cabot Roundfield; Sisters, Susie Whitfield, Minerva Alexander, and Cora Owens; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
