

Beverly Roberts Hope, 74, of Roswell, a native of Atlanta, passed away on March 29, 2012. She was a 1955 graduate of Roosevelt High School and attended Georgia State University. She was an Executive Assistant at New York Life Insurance Company for forty- one years. Beverly was a devoted wife of forty-seven years to her husband, Robert Lawson Hope, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2011. Beverly led an active life outside of the office. She was a faithful and active member of her Sunday School class at Lebanon Baptist church. At home, she loved working in her yard and caring for her cats. She was a competitive bowler and enjoyed getting together with her friends. Lawson and Beverly loved to travel, Daytona Beach and Savannah being among their favorite spots. Beverly is survived by sisters-in-law Barbara Hope Hancock and Sally Hope Stancil of Roswell, brothers-in-law Lucien W. Hope and Marie of Dunwoody, Dr. W. Martin Hope and Betty Jo of Rock Hill, SC., nieces-in-law Hope Hancock Juel of Roswell, Amy Hancock Brock of Talking Rock, Julia Hope Mirts of Knoxville, Tennessee nephews-in-law Lucien W. Hope, III of North Miami, Florida, William Martin Hope, Jr. of Waterville, Maine, and several great nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday, April first at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076 with Pastor Paul Mann officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, the funeral at 3:00 pm and burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church, 11250 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA 30075 or to Atlanta Pet Rescue, 720 14th St., NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. Arrangements are entrusted to Roswell Funeral Home.
