Bill’s career included working for NASA during the early space program, where he contributed as an engineer on the lunar rover project. In a unique distinction, Bill held a license to drive on the moon. He retired as a regional MRI engineer for GE Medical Systems after 31 years.
Though a quiet man, Bill’s devotion to his family spoke volumes. He was a loving and steadfast husband who always put his family first. Bill leaves behind his soulmate and wife of 54 years, Cassie McQueen Stisher, and their sons, Christopher Stisher of Charlotte, North Carolina and Bryan Stisher of Roswell, Georgia. His brother, David Stisher, passed away only two days after Bill.
A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior, https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ Project in his honor.
