Bobby Kie Redwine

Bob Redwine passed away on September 10 in Roswell surrounded by his wife Gertrud and children, Tina and Stefanie. We hope that he can rest easier knowing that he achieved his most important goal - being the best husband, father and grandfather that he could be. He was a wonderful spouse to his wife of 58 years, great dad and beloved grandfather. He did this by frequently sacrificing his professional fulfilment and advancement both in the military and later in the private sector. Despite this, he still was an accomplished man. Born in Oklahoma and orphaned as a teen, Bob only knew one way to work and that was hard - he joined the Navy swabbing the decks of ships, then earned his degrees and started graduate school rising to the level of commander. A good man, with a soft heart and a spark in his eyes, Bob also had strong morals. He expected the same of his daughters and assured them that they could accomplish anything they wanted. Outside of work, he enjoyed his family, friends and volunteering for many organizations including his work as a member of the board of directors of the Etawoh Historical Society. He also loved caring for his animals and tending his garden. We pray that God surrounds his faithful servant with his loving embrace.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am this Friday, September 14th, at Roswell United Methodist Church with a reception following.

Bob will be given a military burial at 1:30pm at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
