Calvin Hill Starr tragically left this world on October 18, 2013. Calvin was born on September 28, 1992; attended Dunwoody Prep and then Mt. Vernon Presbyterian School from Kindergarten through 8th grade. He attended North Springs Charter High School where he graduated with Honors with a Math/Science focus. Calvin attended The University of West Georgia where he was majoring in Biology.
Calvin was in the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Star. He had many great adventures with the BSA, including Philmont and Northern Tier.
Calvin loved music, loved his friends and family. He loved playing the guitar and going to concerts. He loved listening to and seeing Phish, Trey Anastasio, Umphrey’s McGee and many other artists.
Calvin is survived by his Mother, Elizabeth Dorsey White, Father David Dorian Starr, Brothers Witt and Patrick Starr and Sister Christine Cookus.
Calvin was deeply loved by many, and will be missed by everyone he touched during his lifetime.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 4 PM at Roswell Funeral Home’s Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Calvin’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
