

Carl was a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was also a beloved friend.
Throughout his life, Carl achieved many accomplishments in school, retired from the Air Force after serving for 21 years and touched the lives of countless individuals through his service as an EMT and PADI rescue diver and aiding in Desert Storm.
He will be deeply missed by His wife, Shawn; children, Elizabeth Schreck, William Monyelle. Five grandchildren, Quinn, Lillian, Aharon, Juliet Monyelle and Cecily; great-grandchildren, Zelda, Bellamy, and Remy. Carl's brothers and sisters: Bill and Dorothy, Tom and Deb, Jean Burlsen, Nancy and Joe Lehman, Butch and Ann, Jeff Fischer and Robert and Michelle. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dorcas; one brother, Jim; and two sisters, Linda McKay and Elizabeth Linney.
A military honors service will be held on February 3, 2026, at Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr in Canton, GA) at 3:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the home of Elizabeth and Thom Schreck in Tucker, GA, to celebrate Carl's life and honor his contributions to our world.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Carl.
