Mr. Charles "Charlie" Ragan, Sr., 79, of Roswell, passed away on May 17, 2013. Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area, attended Brown High School and was in the first graduating class of Sylvan High School. He graduated with an Engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 1956 and served proudly in the US Air Force. Charlie owned Ragan Mechanical Contractors for 50 years. He coached many years with the Atlanta Colts of Murphy Candler Park.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Bennett and sister, Virginia Smoak.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Pressley Ragan; children, Charles (Barbara) Ragan Jr., Leslie (Kevin) Bennett, Russell Ragan and Troy (Sallie) Ragan; grandchildren, Chad Ragan, Jane Ragan, Emma Bennett, Carrie Ragan, Christina Ragan, Rebecca Bennett and T J Ragan; sister, Dorothy Cook; brother, Waymon (BeNette) Ragan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. and the Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wed., May 22nd, both at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
