Christopher Dodds, age 58, of Roswell, Georgia, passed suddenly after a short illness on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at his home. He was preceded in death by his Father, William H. Dodds, and his Mother, Marrian (Hatfield) Dodds. Chris is survived by his life companion, Gina Marie “Gigi” Tiberio, of Roswell, Georgia; his Sister, Laurie (Tony) Caggiano of Yonkers New York; Jean and Don Schnupper and several other Aunts and Uncles as well as extended family - Alan, Jennifer & Joseph Smith of Upland, California, Nicholaus Tiberio & Family of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Annette Volyson of New Jersey, Denise (Dardano) Oleesky of Roswell, Georgia, and cousins; Kim Foor, Lynn Sloan and Luana Lambert.
Born and raised in New York City, Chris followed his own tune. Being the son of a Broadway Production Manager afforded him a great insight into the theater and the arts. He was an avid photographer and a well skilled painter, specializing in portraits.
A connoisseur of food, wine and liquor, Chris enjoyed tasting and drinking foods from around the world. Chris had a brilliant mind and was a lifelong member of Mensa. There wasn’t anything he didn’t know about and indulged in finding out the craziest of details about anything and everything! Chris had a fervent love for Finland’s culture and had one day wished to visit his favorite country. His photographic eye could lend beauty to even the simplest of things such as the eyes on a bug! Wherever Chris may be there was always a camera close by!
He enjoyed a good conspiracy theory conversation and had a scruffy sounding chuckle that we so dearly miss. Often times letting his hair grow out and with his glasses those who knew and loved him often nicknamed him Einstein! With a great knowledge of politics and world affairs he would sometimes portray himself as a grumpy old man - but it was that grumpy old man with the scruffy chuckle that will forever be in our hearts, gone too soon and wholeheartedly missed and loved by all he touched in life. Chris was an avid lover of animals and a “cat whisperer”, and it is our thoughts he was greeted by his fur babies George and Stephanie who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge just a few short years ago.
Always loved, you will forever be in our hearts. Rest In peace; run, be free, explore and know you will never be forgotten.
