Clyde Morris

Mr. Clyde Morris, age 95, of Roswell, Georgia passed away Friday, June 27, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell. Mr. Morris, a native of Alabama, was a resident of Roswell for 50 years. He was a graduate of Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient; after which he would have a 42 year career with U.S. Steel as a metallurgist. Mr. Morris was a member of Roswell First Baptist Church for 50 years where he served as President of the BYKOTA Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Mae Fincher Morris; and his brother, Ralph Morris.

Survivors include his children: Bob and Jill Morris, Ann and Charlie Patterson, and David and Judi Morris. Grandchildren: Dana Skinner, Alan Patterson, Scott Morris, Jason Morris, Vanessa Morris, and Melissa Summers. Great grandchildren: Lauren Skinner; Robby, Will, and Jake Morris. Jack and Paige Morris; Lucy and Helen Grace Summers. Brother, Claude Morris; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning from 10 am until the hour of service at

Roswell Funeral Home.
