

David was born on January 2, 1960 in Rochester NY. He attended Greece Olympia High School, where he played football and soccer. After relocating to Georgia, Dave graduated from Dunwoody High School, then attended the University of Georgia , where he was an avid Bulldog fan. Dave’s career consisted of using his artistic talents to create custom van interiors and to redesign vehicles for persons with disabilities. David also worked for Sears for many years. Dave was a gifted craftsman and created everything from furniture to gifts for his family. He was also known for his sense of humor and practical jokes.
He is survived by his long time love, Doris Dutton; his mother, Hyacinth Seltzer and his sisters, Geri Rupp Rhodus (Greg), Lynne Rupp Patterson (Greg), and Charlene Rupp Rhodus (Brad), and brother, Scott Seltzer (Cheryl). He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephew, Amanda Mauldin, Kyle Mauldin, MaryClare Patterson, Madilyn Patterson and Kayleigh Zavala. Dave is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, many of whom were among his best friends as a child. David was predeceased by his father, Roy Charles Rupp, and stepfather, Bernard Seltzer.
The memorial service will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, at 2:00 pm with visitation and reception to follow. Internment private.
