Dorothy Neely Scarboro

Dorothy Neely Scarboro, age 82, of Roswell, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, with a reception to follow.

Mrs. Scarboro, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was a graduate of Harding High School; later settling in Roswell, Georgia in 1969 with her late husband, Leonard H. Scarboro. She received great joy in traveling to the beach and mountains; and always held a special love for her animals. Mrs. Scarboro was a member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. She gained the most pleasure from being with her beloved family and loved her roles as wife, mother to her children, and “maw maw” to everyone.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Becky Scarboro; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Joe Johnson. Grandchildren: Kristin Scarboro Heiden (Chris), Meredith Scarboro Elder (Bryan), Lindsay Scarboro Maher (Todd), Jennifer Johnson Hetzel (Gus), Melissa Johnson Brown (Mike), Rebecca Johnson Martin (Joel), Alex Johnson, and Matthew Johnson. Great grandchildren: Ruthie Jeanne Heiden, James and Neely Elder, Alex and Isabella Brown, Katelyn Ashlyn and Colin Hetzel.
