

Mr. Vincent was born in New Orleans on October 25, 1936 to Elliott Salvador Vincent and Josie Corbera Vincent. He grew up in a family of dancers and musicians and this was evident through his love of music until his last days.
A graduate of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, Elliott served as Class president and was voted Most Outstanding. He was a trumpet player in the band and he continued playing most of his life. The friendships he made through his days as a band member lasted a lifetime. After graduation, he went on to attend both Loyola University and Louisiana State University.
In more recent years, he and his wife, Jane, left New Orleans and moved to the Atlanta area. He played trumpet in the New Horizons Band and other music groups. He also took private lessons in both trumpet and music theory.
Elliott spent much of his adult life working as an independent insurance adjuster. He was a top general adjuster and set up field offices around the country following many major hurricanes and storms.
Elliott was preceded in death by his parents and his 10 year old son, Elliott James Vincent. He is survived by his wife, Wista Jane Worthen Vincent, his daughter, Laurie Hochstetler(Robert), step-daughters, Pamela Gregg Foxworthy(Jeff) and Kathryn Glenn Baker(Richard), grandchildren, Meredith Kaye Hall(Andrew), Morgan Vincent Hochstetler, Mason James Hochstetler, step-grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Collier(Nathan), Eric James Baker(Whitney), Jordan Lane Foxworthy, Juliane Lea Foxworthy, and great granddaughter Lucy Kaye Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
A family and friends memorial service and celebration of Elliott’s life will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA.
