Eston Eugene Thornton, 80, lost his 6 month battle with cancer on Friday, March 15, 2013. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 9, 1932 to Eston and Lillie Belle Thornton. He attended Poly High School in Ft. Worth, Texas and went on to Texas Christian University. He had a very successful career in the semi-trailer industry. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Eston was preceded by his first wife, Glenda Glenn Thornton and survived by his second wife, Betty Ellis Thornton of Macon, GA. He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Karen Thornton of Arlington, TX; Chuck and Barbie Thornton of Peachtree City, GA; and Tim and Shawna Thornton of Senoia, GA; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at Roswell United Methodist Church Chapel located at 814 Mimosa Blvd, Roswell, GA 30075, on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00.
