Fred M. Shell

Fred M. Shell, 87 of Roswell, GA departed this life on June 22, 2012. Fred was born on September 6, 1924 son of the late Homer and Frances Price Shell, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Eugenia Bobo Shell, and his Grandson Wesley Jones. Mr. Shell was a WWII Navy Veteran , served on the Atlanta City School Board, the Atlanta City Library Board of Directors, and was an Elder at the Roswell United Methodist Church where he was a very active member. Surviving are his daughters and sons in law, Peggy and Kurt Hannestad, Marietta, GA, Kathy and Gordon Jones, Conyers, GA; Sister, Betty Shell and Brother Bill Shell, both of Palmetto GA; Grandchildren, Doug St.Amand and Katie St.Amand. Services to celebrate the life of Mr Shell will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Roswell United Methodist Church with Dr. Malone Dodson, Dr. Mike Long and Dr. Harvey West officiating; he will lie in state one hour prior to the service in the Chapel . He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home. The family suggest in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Roswell United Methodist Church. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
