Harriet Winogene Thomson

Wynn grew up in Jamestown, New York. She attended Cornell University where she majored in education, and was involved in many activities, including Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and the university orchestra. It was at Cornell that she met the love of her life, Douglas Thomson. Wynn and Doug spent many years together enjoying family and friends in Los Angeles and San Mateo, California, Arlington Heights, Illinois and Roswell, Georgia. Wynn enjoyed playing golf, bridge, reading, and knitting. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Wynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, Wynn is preceded in death by husband, Douglas Thomson, her granddaughter Kelly Robertson and daughter-in-law Salle Thomson. She is survived by her two loving children: son, Kurt Thomson, of Marietta, Georgia; daughter, Patrice Gordon (Richard), of Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Robert Hines (Kimberly), Joseph Gordon, Kyle Stelling (Christopher) and Benjamin Thomson (Emily); eight great-grandchildren and many friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Wynn Thomson will be eleven o’ clock in the morning on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Roswell Funeral Home and Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. The family will assemble at Roswell Funeral Home at ten-thirty, and then proceed to Green Lawn Cemetery.
