Jacques was born to David Desamours and Hilda (Menard) Desamours on September 26,1933 in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. He was an excellent student, spoke 5 languages fluently and played several musical instruments. In 1968 he obtained his Law degree from Universite d’Etat d’Haiti.
In 1963, he met the love of his life, Evelyne Phanord. On October 2,1965 they were married and in 1969 they emigrated to the United States.
His passions were his faith, family, music and literature. He served as Senior Deacon of his church and was the principal musician for church services. He was known for his kindness, intelligence, steadfast faith and sense of humor.
He will be missed by all.
Jacques is survived by his wife Evelyne, his 4 children: Harry, Antonio, Lynda and Jacques Jr; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his siblings.
