James Allen Glenn, III “Jag” was born on October 14, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to James Allen Glenn, Jr. and Rosemary Mahon Glenn. Jag grew up in Chamblee, Georgia where he graduated from Kittredge High School. He was a skilled tile-setter, an avid chess player, and a multi-sport outdoorsman. His great loves were target shooting and attending UGA football games with his father and boating on Lake Lanier with his friends.
Jag fought stoically and with good humor against the severe effects of myotonic muscular dystrophy for the last 20 years of his life. The disease took away many of the things he loved but never defeated his gracious spirit. He remained a loyal friend, a kind and loving brother, and a joy to his parents.
Jag was preceded in death by his father, James A. Glenn, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Glenn, and his sisters Alice Glenn, Nancy Glenn, and Anita Glenn. He will also be dearly missed by his nephews Oliver Ladd, Charlie Ladd, and Henry Ladd as well as his brother-in-law, Kip Ladd.
Thanks be to God for the gift of Jag and for the sure and certain hope of resurrection to eternal life.
