James Gregory “Greg” Harris of Alpharetta, Georgia; son, brother, father and businessman, passed away on November 9, 2021 of natural causes. Born in Chestnut Hill, PA December 15, 1957, Greg was the third of Jackie and Jim Harris’s four children. He spent his formative years in Westlake, OH where he found his passion for football and baseball. Greg starred on his high school teams and went on to play football for Miami University for one year and then transferred to Ohio State.
Early in his business career, Greg developed his strong sales skills and worked with his beloved Dad who mentored him in the family business. His sales career continued in Atlanta at Sears and Best Buy. More recently, Greg studied to become a Certified Home Inspector with BPG, a career in which he was able to use his knowledge of construction and his handyman skills.
The pride and joy in Greg’s life has been family; particularly raising his two sons, along with their Mother, Sonja Jorgensen of Duluth.
Greg is survived by his sons Tony (17) and Dylan Harris (14) of Duluth, his Mother Jacqueline Harris of Alpharetta, Sisters Cindy Eade of Johns Creek and Linda Ryan of Dawsonville, brother Jeff Harris of Alpharetta and two nieces and two nephews.
