Mr. James "Jim" W. Pruett Jr.

Mr. James W. "Jim" Pruett, Jr., of Roswell, GA entered into God's eternal care on Nov. 27, 2011. He was a native Georgian, born in East Point on Nov. 19, 1946 to James W. and Readie (Platt) Pruett, Sr. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force achieving the rank of SSgt. He was a heart recipient and overcame many challenges. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta and active volunteer with GTF and LifeLink. He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Pruett, Sr. He is survived by his soulmate, friend & wife of 45 years, Diane; son Jeff Pruett; sisters Jane (Gary) Bush and Virginia S. Wooten; mother Readie (Ralph) Thomason; sister-in- law Raye Ann (Chris) Raaen; nieces & nephews Randy & Christy Givens, Courtney (Tony) Heaps, Brian, Joy, Autumn & David Raaen; uncle Tom (Patsy) Platt; and many special cousins. Visitation will be from 2 -4 & 6-8 P.M., Wed., Nov 30 and the Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 A.M., Thurs, Dec 1, both at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076 with Dr Scott G. Downing officiating. Jim will be placed at rest in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA with Military Honors.
