Mr. James Lee Williams, 71 of Gainesville, GA passed away May 22, 2010. Mr. Williams was born in Atlanta and was a long time resident of the Decatur area. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and enjoyed many years as a little league football coach at Glenwood Hills Park. Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife, Helen Williams; daughters Robin Woestman and her husband Tom, Shannon Williams; sons, Eddy Thomason and his wife Sheila, Terry Thomason and his wife Janet, Gary Thomason and his wife Judy, Kelly Thomason and his wife Lisa; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers Ed Williams and his wife Carolyn, Jack Williams and his wife Betty, a sister Diane Gordon and her husband Jerry. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Ruby Williams and a son Barry Thomason. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11am in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home with interment to follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 and 6:30-9pm.
