She was born Joyce Ann Baumgardner in Cleveland, Ohio July 21, 1947. She married James Podojil in 1970 and they enjoyed a remarkable 51 year marriage.
Joyce Podojil was fierce, honest, incredibly strong, funny, generous and loving every day of her life. She worked as a kindergarten teacher for over 35 years, mostly at the Wesleyan School in Norcross, Georgia. She blessed hundreds of students over the years with her guidance, encouragement and love. She had two green thumbs and was friend to all things growing: animals, plants and children.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Emerson Hartley. She is survived by her loving husband Jim, three children, Jeff, Mark, Lindsay Greene, three children in-law, Celeste, Elizabeth and Jason Greene and four grandchildren, Regan Podojil, Avery Greene, Braedy Greene, and Ada Podojil.
