To my Uncle Sully,I remember when my Mom was in school at UGA we would stay with you and my Aunt during the week .  One night you came home from work to find me sitting at the table with broccli in front of me.  I did not want to eat it and my Mom said I could not go to bed until it was gone.  You tossed it in the trash and let me go to bed...You were the greatest... You built me a doll house one year for Christmas, and I was the happiest little girl around...You were the greatest. You always treated me like a princess...........Then life happened and we did not talk anymore.  If I had one more chance I know what I would say to you!!!  You were the greatest Uncle a little girl could have.  I love you Uncle Sully, Love your Neice Nichole.

Lee and I were once the best of friends. I spent many afternoons at his home on Hart's Mill, just across from Marist. I rode with him the first day he got his '65 maroon GTO.Terry MacAdoo and I held on tightly as he drove fiercely around that little nearby lake, whose name I can not remember. I can remember well the joy on his face, the grin on his lips, as we roared through the narrow curves and hairpin turns. He had a zest for life. Oh, and the time he drove the VW Beetle into the Chattahoochee at the Palisades to see if it would float. I can't remember what the Major said to him, but it was no doubt said with pride. Lee had character and courage, and a strength that saw him through OCS, his 'Nam tours, back to school and on to success in life. Our friendship ended, but my respect for him never faltered. He was a good man, a great friend, a true patriot, and a better man than most. He was certainly my better, and I am sorry I never told so. Godspeed Lee.

There will never be another like you Leo - not only for service to your country but also for the friendship you freely offered so many of us here at GAO.  Mandy - I never spoke to him that he didn't speak of you.  He carried you in his heart every second of the day.

Leo and I played football together at Marist.I always considered him a good friend and enjoyed our meetings. We always discussed mutual interests, football, military and family. He was a good man and we will all miss him.

Leo, what a grand man he was, a beloved force of nature.  I worked with him at GAO and he was unique.  He loved the Army so well he wanted them to always do the right thing.  we will not see his like again.

To Leo's family & friends, I am very sorry for your loss. He was a very nice man and a good neighbor. My prayers are with all of you. I always enjoyed the way he decorated outside at Christmas and will miss that.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of a truly honorable, thoughtful, and dedicated man.  I was honored to work with Leo for a time and will never forget him. And though I don't personnally know his family, he always spoke very highlighly and lovingly of Amanda... he couldn't have been more proud.

Learned alot from Sully as a newbie waitress at Cleve's Place in Athens in 1974.  Went on to own my own place with Sully's roommate, and remained in the biz for over 32 years after working under Sully.  Will always remember his words of wisdom.

Leo was a pleasure to be around and could always find something to say to brighten the day for those around him. My prayers are with his family and dear friends at this difficult time.

Leo was a great neighbor and always friendly. I was very saddened last Sunday. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Leo was a fun and loving guy that spoke with a growl.  His service and dedication to the Army and to GAO were remarkable.  I will cherish the long conversations he and I had about his military career, GAO-- which Leo often referred to as the "Girls Accounting Office" and the love of his life, his daughter, Amanda.  I am ushering strength, understanding and peace to the loved ones he left behind.  May God's angels wrap their wings around you, strengthen and encourage you doing this difficult time.  Rest in peace, Leo.  You served well.

Leo brought joy and laughter to many of us who knew him.  He was a great servant to his country through his years of service in the Army and at GAO.   I will never forget the many long chats Leo and I had about his time in the Army, how GAO had changed to the "Girls Accountability Office", and the love of his life, his daughter, Amanda.   I am glad that I had the opportuntiy to get to know Leo and will find peace in the memories I have of him.  My thoughts and prayers are with Amanda, Mary Ellen and the rest of the family.

Leo was a very well respected man at GAO.  I always enjoyed talking with him & learning from his experiences.  I'm very sorry for your loss.

Mandy, Mary Ellen, Donna, and family - I'm so sorry for your loss.  Leo was a great guy and a good friend and one of the reasons that coming to work could be fun.  He will be greatly missed.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family and dearest friends of Leo, please accept my condolences for such a great loss in your life. Amanda, your father always spoke so lovingly and highly of you, and I know that you were truely his heart and angel. His wealth of knowledge and life experiences provided wonderful stories that I will always cherish. He is truely going to be missed.

Leo was my friend at GAO.  One thing I know for certain was that he sure loved his daughter! I remember when he first told me that his wife was pregnant--he was so elated! Most everytime I spoke with him he had something nice to report and had much pride in his words.  It was so nice to know him and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Leo contributed greatly to this country through his years of service and dedication to GAO. We were honored to have the priviledge to work with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Amanda, Mary Ellen and other family members, please accept my sympathy on the loss of Leo.  Although I don't know any of you personally, I'm pretty sure I have purchased some of Amanda's Girl Scout Cookies.  Although Leo and I never worked directly together, I considered Leo one of my friends in GAO.  We often consulted on matters, both official--concerning GAO jobs or gossip about the organization--and unofficial, as I am a fan of the University of Tennessee.  I wish you all comfort in the coming days.

Leo will be missed for he was always a good and loyal friend. My prayers for comfort go out to both Mandy and Mary Ellen.

Leo and I worked together on military assignments several years. I had the utmost respect and admiration for Leo. He was a true friend that you could count on. He always got the job done. It was an honor to be his friend and co-worker. I also know that he was a brave soldier. I share your loss as his friend. God Bless
