Mrs. Lorraine Dorothy Ann Gibson, 84, of Alpharetta, passed away on Dec. 23rd, 2012. She proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois. She lived in many countries around the world in her lifetime and was a dedicated pharmacist assistant for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Howard, and first husband, father of her children, Steve Solan, Sr. She is survived by her 6 loving children, Charmaine (Paul) Caraway of Idaho, Stephen (Cheryl) Solan of Georgia, Roma Lee (Kevin) Walther of Oregon, Maureen (Harry) Eijsermans of California, Heidi (Jon Erik) Brondmo of Norway, and Drea (Beth) Solan of Washington; and 13 grandchildren, Coral, Brandon, Ryan, Christopher, Jennifer, Shelly, Tony, Sonje, Celine, Jon, Emily, Hannah, Liam and soon to be great grandson, Elijah. She will be remembered for her robust laughter, vibrant personality, love of life, endless curiosity, and expansive creative talents. Celebration of life services will be held on Thurs, Dec. 27th, 11 a.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076. Visitation will be one hour prior. Roswell Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
