Lynne Bernice Grady

Dr. Lynne B. Grady, aged 76, passed away on October 30, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1948, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to the late Raymond and Virginia Grady. Lynne attended Georgia State University and went on to earn her master’s and doctorate degrees in psychology from Emory University, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in mental health. She retired as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Young Harris College.

Lynne was passionate about her Irish heritage. She loved to travel and had a well-known fondness for stylish shoes. She was a beloved friend, a joyful and caring wife and mother, and a devoted Nana to her cherished grandchildren. Lynne will be remembered for her fun-loving, yet humble spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Norwood; her children, Peter G. Navoy (Cami), Christian J. Navoy (Jennifer), Ryan J. Navoy, and Kyle G. Navoy; and her grandchildren, Jordan Mae Leslie, Cory Lynne Navoy, Isabelle Hope Navoy, Liam Joseph Navoy, Isla Grace Navoy, Karter Glynn Navoy, and Lauren Navoy. She is also survived by her brothers, Raymond Grady and Douglas Grady. Lynne was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Brooke Navoy.

A service in Lynne's honor will be announced at a later date. Her legacy of kindness and love will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
