

Margie Moore Cook, 88, of Sandy Springs, Georgia, passed away on January 15, 2026. She was born on November 28, 1937, in Snellville, Georgia, the youngest of seven children born to Lonnie and Lola Ewing Moore.
Following her graduation from high school, Margie married her childhood sweetheart and forever love Ronald Elliott Cook, of Milton, Georgia. Together they began their life’s adventures in Decatur, Georgia building a marriage rooted in love, partnership, and shared purpose. While both worked full time, they raised four children, instilling in them strong values of independence, integrity, and service.
Margie enjoyed a successful career as a real estate broker during a period of rapid growth in the Atlanta region. She specialized in executive relocation and residential real estate, later working with luxury home builders, and was widely respected for her professionalism, integrity, and deep knowledge of the market.
Deeply committed to her faith and community, Margie and Ronald were active members of Holy Cross Episcopal Church and later St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church. Even while balancing careers and family life, Margie remained devoted to service, supporting the civil rights movement and other efforts dedicated to equality, fairness, and dignity for all. Margie will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering sense of purpose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lola Moore, and her siblings.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Elliott Cook; her children, Shirley, Sharon, Susan, and Stephen; her grandchildren Mitra, Sia, Stephanie, Sophia, Sabrina, and Aris; her great-granddaughter Victoria Dean; her sons-in-law Scott, John and Jesus; daughter-in-law Aom; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A celebration of life service will be planned for a later date and shared with family and friends.
