Marilyn Louise Chamberlin, 85, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 in Cumming, Georgia. Marilyn was born in Boone, Iowa and went to Boone High School where she was a cheerleader. After graduating high school, she worked for Northwestern Bell where she met and married Richard Chamberlin. They moved to various places during their married life, Denver, Phoenix and eventually to Georgia but lived in Iowa during most of their lifetime. Marilyn loved to craft, paint, work in her garden and she owned several businesses.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Joubert and Dorothy Olson, her husband, Richard Chamberlin, three children, twins, Tommy and Johnny Chamberlin and daughter Kimberly Chamberlin, her sister June Galeazzi, and her son-in-law, Alan Olson.
Survivors include her daughter Pamela Olson, her daughter Tina (Daniel) Halinski, grandchildren Joy (Nate) Burk, Jacob (Erin) Olson, Timothy Halinski, Sydney Halinski, and Ashley Halinski. She also had five great grandchildren, Peyton Olson, Kendall Olson, Ellerson Burk, Tiernan Burk, and Breslyn Burk. Her sisters, Deloris Byrd, Lea Orr, Bea Blair and Dorothy McCoy and her brother Joubert Olson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A joint memorial service for Marilyn and her husband Richard is being planned for a later date in Ankeny, Iowa.
