Neil Marvyn Morris will be remembered most for being Jamaican proud and New York raised, his kind spirit and warm smile, and fruitful family connections and meaningful friendships. Neil was born the fourth of six children to Melvin Menzie Morris and Cynthia Monica Morris on January 9, 1971, in Liverpool, England.
Neil graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1989 and went to Penn State University where he majored in Engineering. These experiences afforded him a circle of dear friends who remained close to him until God called him home. Neil was an entrepreneur and worked as a software consultant. Most recently, he worked in information technology specializing in Software Security.
Neil loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors and vacations with family and friends. One of his favorite places was on the beach in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He was a dedicated Dad of The Boy Scouts of America Troop #2206 and also served as Chair of The Father’s Auxiliary of the Greater North Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Neil’s spirit was infectious with a charisma and love for people that made him comfortable around everyone. His outgoing and welcoming personality extended beyond close family and friends and sought people out. Neil always had something to share.
