Mrs. Patricia ‘Pat’ M. Gray, age 90, of Roswell, GA., passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Pat was born on June 15, 1928 in Bluefield, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert G. Murphy and Mary Archer Murphy.
Pat could easily be described as a devoted mother and wife, a diligent servant of Jesus Christ, and a lover of music. She spent most of her young adult life supporting her beloved husband and raising her five children. Once moving to the Atlanta area over thirty-five years ago, Pat and her husband Cecil became members of Roswell Presbyterian Church. Pat developed the East Cobb Songsters and the group traveled to numerous senior living facilities bringing joy to the residents. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, teaching Sunday School, and spending time with her family and friends. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, Pat is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Cecil Dale Gray; one granddaughter, Kristen Mohn Dellaporta; and one sister, Margaret Ann Murphy.
She is survived by her five children, Sharon (Dan) Mohn of St. George Island, Florida; Charles (Marjorie) Gray of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kathie (Greg) Pope of Overland Park, Kansas; Paul (Mark Allen) Gray of Hutto, Texas; and David (Irene) Gray of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Patricia Gray will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Roswell Presbyterian Church 755 Mimosa Blvd Roswell, GA 30075, with Bill Nesbitt officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens of Princeton, West Virginia.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family request donations be made to the Roswell Presbyterian Church missions or music ministry, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or Dementia Society of America.
