

Paul Wesley Herron, age 66 of Alpharetta, Ga. went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 17. Paul was born and grew up in Asheville, NC where he lived for 30 years before moving to the Atlanta area in 1977. He dealt with a rare cancer for 11 years. He was always very positive and trusted in the Lord. He graduated from Clyde A. Erwin High School in 1962, then joined the Marines and served from 1962-1968 two tours in Vietnam and received a purple heart and bronze star. Attended two years of vocational school for Heating, Air conditioning, and Refrigeration. Paul started his own HVAC business, Herron's Heating & Air, in Alpharetta in 1992 as an independent Heating and Air Contractor. Retired in 2007 due to his health. Paul’s customers cherished his kindness, honesty, Faith, and excellent work. Flow-Tech Mechanical, owned by Dan Pineyro took over his customer base and he was a Godsend as all of Paul’s HVAC customers are very pleased with Flow-Tech Mechanical. Paul was an active member of Crabapple First Baptist Church and involved in Outreach Leader of his Sunday School class, served as an usher and on the Building Ground committee. Also, a long time member of the Gideons. While living in Asheville, NC he was a Deacon at Bent Creek Baptist Church. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He had a wonderful kind heart and was a devoted Christian. Paul’s favorite things to do was fish at the beach, attend his Sunday School Class, and work in his yard. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ralph Herron and Mother, Beulah Green Herron and brother, Eugene Herron. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Susan Herron, brother, Harold Herron and sister-in-laws Sandra Herron and Callie Herron, step-sons, Britt Baker and Matt Robbins, grandkids, Jake Baker, Will and Katie Robbins, daughter-in-law, Amy Robbins. Survived also by his wonderful cousins, neices, nephews, brother-in-law and sister in-law, and dear friends. Service will be held in the sanctuary at Crabapple First Baptist Church by Pastor Jerry Dockery, 12760 Birmingham Highway, Milton, Ga. 30004 on Tuesday, December 21 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, Ga. 30076 on Monday, December 20 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Burial at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated made to Crabapple First Baptist Church for Mission Trips, or to the Gideons.
